Origins and Early Days

Formed in 1976 in the city of Solingen, Accept initially comprised members Udo Dirkschneider (vocals), Peter Baltes (bass), Frank Friedrich (drums), and the guitar duo of Wolf Hoffmann and Jörg Fischer. They began their journey as a traditional hard rock band, but it wasn't long before they developed a distinctive style that would set them apart from their contemporaries.
